Just a relaxing walk from the hotel are local attractions such as Panny's famous Chocolate Factory, historic Churchill Island and the daily pelican feeding on the San Remo foreshore. Some of the most spectacular and pristine surf beaches in Victoria are only a short drive away. A welcome addition to Phillip Island events in 2012 was Tough Mudder. This hardcore obstacle course designed by British Special Forces tests all around strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie. The Phillip Island event was the first one for Australia. Publicans Peter and Colleen Williams together with their team mates completed this course and as can be seen by the before and after photos, had a Mudder of a time!
